Aquaculture is a promising sector, but its development is hampered by the impact of infectious diseases on livestock farming and the control of pathogens has become a major concern.

The research themes developed in the Fish Infection and Immunity team are as follows:

Host-Pathogen Interactions and Immunity in Fish

Key words: Rainbow trout clonal lines, genetic resistance to diseases, genomics, QTL, viral and bacterial infections, VSHV, Flavobacterium psychrophilum.

The Fish Infection and Immunity team has access to an experimental infectiology platform that can be used to carry out viral or bacterial infections of rainbow trout and zebrafish. This platform is part of the unit "experimental rodent-fish facilities" of the campus of INRA Jouy en Josas. It also includes an imaging platform (3D and 3D + t imaging) dedicated to the study of host / pathogen interactions in the zebrafish species.
